9 Impressive Pet Tricks

Watch these animals show off their impressive, human-like skills

Impressive Pet TricksAnimals do the craziest things on their own, but give them a bit of encouragement and before you know it, they've got their own signature moves. For just that reason, TV shows highlighting the world’s most gifted pets have popped up (think Animal Planet’s Pet Star and the Late Show with David Letterman’s "Stupid Pet Tricks"). For your entertainment, WD rounded up some of the most impressive (and funniest) pet tricks caught on video. Take a peek at these 9 amazing animals.

Skateboarding Machine

Tillman the bulldog probably looks familiar since he’s appeared in iPhone commercials. But at this point, it's not only his skateboarding skills that are so impressive, but his determination. No matter how many times he falls off, Tillman gets right back on…even without a treat!

Jumpin’ Sadie

Good enough to land a spot on one of the Late Show with David Letterman’s "Stupid Pet Tricks" segments, Sadie (an Alaskan husky mix) can run on a treadmill and jump over her owner’s arms—at the same time!

Backflippin' Poodle

This poodle on Pet Star is above and beyond impressive. To warm up, he walks on two legs. But wait till you see how many backflips he can do. Go, dog, go!

All About Numbers

You’re really going to be impressed with Maggie the counting Jack Russell terrier. Her warmup is impressive enough…that is, until you see what she can do with numbers. All we can say is, if your kids ever need a math tutor, don't count this canine out.

Music Master

We knew parrots could speak, but who knew they could sing?! In this clip, 15-year-old Yahkee the Amazon parrot shows off her musical talents by singing “Oh My Darling Clementine” right on pitch for the judges of Pet Star. She then follows up with "Rock-a-Bye, Baby."

Ready for the Tightrope

Sure, you've seen a dog standing on two legs, but have you ever seen a dog do it while standing on a tightrope? Didn't think so. Skeeter (who looks like a mix) shows us just how much balance dogs can have, while his trainer feeds him commands.

Balancing Act

What's the only thing missing from this video of an adorable Jack Russell terrier balancing while he walks on top of a ball? Circus music.

Deaaad or Alive?

In perhaps the funniest of all the videos on the list, this segment of "Stupid Pet Tricks" shows Bailey the beagle as she plays de-ad (a little too convincingly, we think) and then springs back to life.

Piano-Playing Poodle

Inji the toy poodle could start a one-pooch band with her instrument skills. Not only can she play the piano, but she can strum the guitar, walk on two legs and play dead as well!
